PPE ... a ubiquitous problem
Personal protective equipment, or PPE for short, is the equipment doctors must have in order to stop them from getting infected with the novel virus and spread it to other patients as well as their families if they go home.
It is blatant that there is a great discrepancy between opinions on the amount of equipment we have. There are a plethora of people, including doctors, who say that the supply of it is scarce and there are the so called 'leaders' who think and say that there are enough supplies.
After reading some other articles on this topic, I came to a conclusion. The other problem which also plays a big role in this is the broken supply chains who can't produce the demanded amount of PPE.
Furthermore, there are volunteers who fortunately found ways to make PPE by themselves. This helps to alleviate the demand for PPE to some extent. It is blatant that doctors can't rely on them but they noticeably help.
Moreover, it is said that some of them are only an alternative.
