Our Future

27.03.2020

It is blatant that over the course of the last two months, the world has changed significantly.

We can't linger around the city anymore and the majority of cities now seem to be haunted with nobody to find wandering on the streets.

For instance, the joy of going grocery shopping has now become an irksome or stress inducing situation. I used to go grocery shopping on each Saturday with my mother. Now, given the fact that I'm in quarantine, she has to go do it by herself. This is going to last until this novel virus disappears. Therefore, this will go back to normal in the near future.

To some extent, we are going to continue taking measures of protection. Washing our hands regularly, every time we enter the house, when we make contact with objects that are frequently touched during the day. Furthermore, we are going to continue being scrupulous by keeping around 2 meters of distance from another person. Broadly speaking, I think that a plethora of people are going to continue doing them because, first of all, they got in our daily routine and, second of all, because over the last two months, people have become more cautious about protecting themselves from getting infected with a possible virus. This upshot from COVID-19 is going to last.

Moreover, the leisure activity of walking my dog which has brought me joy since I got it one year ago. This lasted until two weeks prior the 27th March. Now, I am most stressed about, thinking about the number of objects I have to touch and what I have to clean when I come back inside. Although this might seem the major problem, what makes me most stressed about is that I don't have to forget my declaration that I'm walking my dog at home. If I forget it I may get a ticket or worse, be prosecuted. Regardless, after this virus, this will all go back to normal.

Given the above mentions, there are a lot of aspects that are going to change forever and vice-versa. The major thing that is not going to change, which I think is best this way, is the fact that people are going to pay more attention at their protection from viruses. Regardless, I think that most paradigms will go back to normal.
