Coronavirus In Romania

24.03.2020

Even though Romania is known for being a country that is left behind because of some projects which go on a different track than they should, in the case of coronavirus Romania's President didn't linger and took action one week prior when coronavirus had been thought to settle in Romania. Furthermore, both universities and schools have been closed since the 11th March in order to stop the spreading among youngsters. Moreover, we may find the difference of the upshots between Romania and other countries from Europe, for instance Italy. Because Italians had thought that COVID-19 brings as much threat as a seasonal flu does, they put it on the back burner. To some extent, in the first week of March, everyone from Europe had thought that coronavirus was just a flu. Now, it is blatant that we all have been wrong. Because Italians didn't take measures when they had to, a plethora of people had gotten infected in a matter of days. Therefore, it had also become knotty for the country to find solutions. It is true that you can treat it at home but if there are a lot of severe or critical cases, hospitals will get overcrowded and doctors would have to choose who will live and who won't. The infected have to be treated in a very specific way. This enhanced the fear and panic among people, because it only means that now it will be spread among civilians and it may not be controlled. Even though all doctors had tried their best, the inevitable had happened. Because of the measures our Interior Minister had taken on Saturday evening the curve will possibly flatten in the next weeks. At this subject, we don't stand at a great position. Even though the majority of people understood that they have to stay inside, some people, mostly people over 60 years old go outside even though they don't have to work or go get groceries and medicine. This tells us a lot about our society. Even though we were demanded to stay inside, some people don't listen to the authorities. We have to be united in order to have a great upshot.

This is the curve I have been talking about in the second paragraph.

We have also been warned by the renowned Bill Gates who had said ”The next outbreak won’t be a nuclear war,[...] it will be a rather infections virus.” (Bill Gates: The next outbreak? We're not ready
